In this relaxed, hands-on workshop we’ll explore the creative power of working with a limited colour palette using acrylic paint and paper-based mixed media.

By intentionally reducing our colour choices, we create space to really see colour, learn how colours interact, and discover unexpected harmony, contrast, and depth. We’ll work intuitively with paint, mark-making, layering, and simple mixed media techniques, including making collage papers with a Gelli Plate. We will be focusing on process over perfection.

This workshop is about experimentation, curiosity, and letting go of habits. You’ll be guided through playful exercises designed to build confidence with colour mixing and composition, while allowing your own style and responses to emerge. Suitable for all levels, including beginners and experienced artists wanting to loosen up and refresh their approach.
